Welcome to our brand new web site The Paper Star. My name is Marie and I live in Brighton along with my husband Kevin who comes from here, and our 2 wonderful children Jay and Ellen.
The Paper Star all started when my husband would make stuff for me and then family and friends would ask for things to fit in their homes. I have always enjoyed making things for myself so I got involved too and would make things for my kids and gifts for friends. When people saw what I did as a wedding gift or someone’s birthday for instance, they would ask to have items made for others and so it didn’t take long for us to realise that this is what we would like to do and ideas for The Paper Star started to evolve.
Most the items on our web site are handmade by us in our own workshop and most can be personalised by the customer which makes it unique to them or to that special someone they are buying for. All of our products are made to order at competitive and affordable prices.
We try to make everything ourselves but when we can’t we source products and supplies from companies based in the UK (local when possible) and of course we reuse and recycle as much as possible.
We are a small family business who loves creating individual pieces for individual people. A place where you can buy good quality items handmade and personalised to your own or that special someone’s tastes. Our designs are inspired by everyday things, places we have been and the wonderful friends we have made along the way.
To launch our new site we will be running some fun give aways. All you have to do to enter is to "Pin & Post" your paper stars. Take a picture of your paper star pinned anywhere (the more random places the better) and Post it to our facebook page, Tweet it or pin it to Pintrest. The winner will receive a tin of push pins of their choice. We will keep you up to date on who the first recipient is!
